Dr Nithin Iyer
BSc(Adv) MBBS (Hons I) MMed FRACP
Dr Nithin Iyer is a consultant cardiologist with subspecialty interests in cardiac diagnostic imaging, preventative cardiology and heart failure.
Dr Iyer completed his medicine degree at the University of Sydney with first class Honours. He completed Basic Physician Training and Advanced Training in Cardiology at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. He holds a Master of Medicine in Clinical Epidemiology from the University of Sydney. He completed a fellowship in cardiac imaging at the National Heart Centre Singapore. Dr Iyer holds Society of Cardiac Magnetic Resonance Level III and Society of Cardiac CT Level 2 accreditation.
He is currently undertaking a PhD through the University of Sydney investigating the application of novel cardiac MRI sequences in heart failure. His research has been published in peer-reviewed journals and has been presented at both national and international conferences.
